Description |
This seminar discusses the service provider's role in working with homeless families and the impact of stresses experienced by these families with young children. We will identify the unique needs of homeless families and strategies used to tailor services to meet their needs, while avoiding additional risk/harm. We will explore the impact of trauma on families experiencing homelessness and identify concrete strategies that can be used in a variety of community-based settings to address these families' needs. We will also review developmentally based interventions that support homeless families.
