Supervision of Assistant Therapists in Early Intervention and Implications for Families

An in-depth presentation on the requirements of and the role of Supervision of Assistant Therapists in Early Intervention.

Focusing on the supervision requirements in Early Intervention from both a Supervisor's perspective and from an Assistant Therapist's perspective. Then focusing on the implications of this method of delivery of Early Intervention services from a Family's perspective.

Early Intervention has well established requirements for the supervision of assistant therapists providing Early Intervention services. The Provider Handbook that went into effect 2-17 has introduced several refinements to the previously established requirements.

We will review the established requirements for and the role of supervision for assistant therapists requirements in Early Intervention and refinements introduced in the new Provider Handbook.

We will then discuss the implications of this method of delivery of Early Intervention services from a Family's perspective.
