Babies Learning Language: Parents as First Teachers

Description

How does a baby learn to speak? Parents are their child’s first language teachers, but many parents need support to help them develop their child’s vocabulary comprehension, language complexity, and pre-mathematical skills. This workshop will explore the implications of recent research and develop language strategies for child care workers to use with parents and children.
