Dr. J’s Sensory Fair Experiencing First Hand the Impact of Sensory Processing on Relationships and Learning

Description

Come one, come all and experience firsthand what it may be like for young children as they experience the world through their senses. This is a workshop like you have never attended before! Participants will actively take part in various “stations” that correspond to each of the sensory systems. With an emphasis on play, participants will experience sensory based activities along with play partners. Participants will be encouraged to make connections between their lived/felt experiences from the various sensory stations and their work with young children. We’ll emphasize the importance of behavioral observations and make connections between the current research finding related to the stress response and their experiences. And, since this is a fair, there will be fabulous prizes! Everyone is a winner!
