Safety for the Home Visitors: In the Community

Description

Home visitors are confronted with a variety of challenges in today's world. There are concerns about neighbors, animals, mental health issues, random violence, drugs and personal safety. Many professional home visitors are unprepared to meet many of these safety issues competently; some professional home visitors have been injured. Part 2 of this 3 part series explores preparedness to maximize safety while in the community and as professionals travel throughout their working day. This inspiring workshop promises to engage all participants with real personal stories, self reflection, video, discussion groups and humor.
