Safety for Home Visitors: Preparing for the Home Visit

Description

Home visitors are confronted with a variety of challenges in today's world. There are concerns about neighborhoods, animals, mental health issues, random violence, drugs, and personal safety. Many professional home visitors are unprepared to meet many of these safety issues competently; National news has reported that some professional home visitors have been injured. Part 1 of this 3 part series explores preparedness to maximize safety before the visit takes place. This inspiring workshop promises to engage all participants with real personal stories, self exploration, video, discussion groups and humor.
