Assessing the Needs of the Child with Lissencephaly and Infantile Seizures.

Description

This is an "in house" training for CFC#15 service coordinators and providers during which Dr. Larry Desch will present medical diagnostic, assessment, treatment information, and resources. A case example of a child with Lissencephaly and infantile seizures will be presented. Typical brain development will be compared with brain development of a child with Lissencephaly. Differential diagnoses, diagnostic considerations, clinical features, prognosis, available resources, treatment, clinical implications, and assessment of the needs of the child and family in EI will be addressed.
