Sensory Processing and Its Impact on Emotion and Behavior

Description

This workshop will provide participants with the newest evidence related to sensory processing and the emotional and social development of children with and without disabilities. The neural mechanisms involved in sensory processing and those of the limbic system will be highlighted. Participants will learn about the characteristics of non-verbal social behavior that affect children with disabilities, including autism, and learn strategies for intervention and support to enhance the emotional and social development of these children.
