Description |
Incidence of substance abuse during pregnancy has been increasing. We will discuss the most common drugs of abuse and physiologic changes regarding drug exposure and withdrawal in infants born to mothers of addiction. Identify risk factors for development, treatment options, therapeutic strategies/services that may be beneficial in the care of infants with NAS. Also, we will identify the early signs that warrant ongoing treatment for these children.
