Description |
Current research suggests that to be effective in bringing about a developmental change, intervention must be task-specific, repetitive, and highly salient to the child. This course will introduce the participants to one such intervention, Perception-Action Approach, which is supported by current research into the role of variability, complexity and adaptability in the developmental process. The theoretical foundation, primary concepts, and fundamental principles of Perception-Action Approach will be described and reinforced by short laboratory sessions and small and large group discussions. Specific intervention components will be illustrated by photo and video cases and a live patient demonstration.
