ADOS 2 Training for Providers

Description

This training is meant to give Early Intervention practitioners a solid understanding of the ADOS-2 diagnostic tool. The ADOS-2 is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviors. The activities within the test are designed to elicit behaviors directly related to a diagnosis of ASD. By observing and coding these behaviors, you can obtain information that informs diagnosis, treatment planning, and transition planning.

The modules of the ADOS-2 are determined by age and language level of the child. The Toddler Module is appropriate for children ages 12-30 months who do not use phrase speech. Module 1 is appropriate for children over 31 months who do not use phrase speech. Module 2 is appropriate for all aged children with phrase speech. Module 3 is appropriate for all ages of children who have fluent speech. Modules 2 and 3 have scoring information for children as young as age 2.

This training will provide an overview of all modules.
The cost of the training is being covered by a separate grant. Participants are required to purchase the manual for $99.
