Working with Interpreters in Early Intervention

Description

Working with an interpreter in early intervention requires a unique and, sometimes, unfamiliar way to engage families. Service coordinators are in the role of identifying translators and having them support the process of EI engagement with a family. Additionally, they are part of the EI team and are connecting with families during direct service as well. This workshop will review the process of working with an interpreter and review the EI policy information to maximize communication.
