Helping Parents Set Limits

Description

In this training/workshop we will explore the challenge of limit setting. It is not uncommon in today's world for any parent to feel challenged in the area of setting limits. Their may be many various influences on why parents do or don't set limits, including personal beliefs, personal experience, childrearing info "overload," conflicting opinions.....are just a few among the many factors that influence the area of parenting.
When a child is found to be developmentally delayed and/or developing atypically, parents may feel even more unsure or challenged in this area. Some may even feel as though what they 'thought' was appropriate, must now be 'thrown out the window' in the face of managing input from various professionals about the needs of their child.
In this workshop we will discuss the possible experience of what may or may not be limiting a parents ability to set typically accepted limits, helping them to set a clearer foundations for personal expectations - clearing the way for what may be more clarity and connection within the parent child relationship.
