Transition can be a daunting process, both for Service Coordinators and families. This presentation will give both parents and professionals information about the transition process out of early intervention and into early childhood education. We will learn about eligibility determination for special education, categories of eligibility, and how related services differ in early childhood. We will review and understand the principles behind IDEA, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, and parents’ rights under the law.
