Functional IFSP Outcome Development

Description

The service coordinator is the backbone of the IFSP meeting and can facilitate dialogue that puts the family in the lead of outcome development. This workshop provides opportunity for reflection upon meeting facilitation skills that lead to functional IFSP outcomes. Participants will Review & discuss YEC article “Quality in Individualized Service Plans: Guidance for Practitioners, Programs, and Families” by authors Michelle Gatmaitan & Teresa Brown YEC Vol 19, No. 2, June 2016. Participants will also have an opportunity to compare current IFSP outcomes with the “Enhancing Recognition of High-Quality, Functional IFSP Outcomes: A training activity for Infant and Toddler service providers” found on the ECTA website to identify areas of strength and opportunity for growth in IFSP meeting facilitation.
