Intervention Strategies for Infants and Toddlers Under Strees: A Neurodevelopmental Perspective

Description

Stress for infants and toddlers almost always manifests in changes in developmental progress and concerns regarding social/emotional interactions for the child. How to identify these stressors and develop strategies to work with the child and family become a primary need for providers working with stressed children and families. This can become an all-more delicate situation, because, quite often, where there is a stressed child, there is often a stressed care-giver/family. This seminar will help early intervention providers better understand the stress child and family and help they develop strategies for engaging with families in a way to support and, hopefully, reduce the stress that the child and family has been experiencing and/or find ways to cope themselves with continuous stress.
