Melodic-based Communication Therapy: An Innovative Approach for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Description

*REMOVE* Sponsor called and wants this training REMOVED from the calendar for future purposes. It looks like Jill Jones is an attendee instead of a representative of this sponsoring organization and they do not want EI credit for this going forward. They feel it doesn't apply to 0-3. I spoke to Amanda Hyder, Continuing Education Lead, Vyne Education, LLC
(if anyone turns in a certificate from 11/10/16 to Provider Connections-they should still get credit for this time only, since it was posted on our calendar at one time.) *

Express number: 298399 for online registration

This seminar addresses some of the reasons why individuals with autism may not be responding to typical methods of intervention as quickly as we would like. Dr. Sandiford shares cutting edge research on the minds of individuals with autism and how they may respond differently to spoken words and melody. She presents melodic-based techniques for motivating children with autism to actively participate in our therapy session. This is an interactive seminar, with several opportunities throughout the day for collaboration, role-playing, and discussion. Dr. Sandiford's goal is to equip you to be ready to immediately and successfully implement these techniques with your & teaown clients.
