Case Consultation - July 2016

Description

Service coordinators are required to ask many questions to families about their life, their income, their family routines, medical information and current concerns. It can often be a lot for the SC to take in and for the families to share. Our discussion today addressed how we begin the process of building relationships with families from the initial phone call and then preparing them for some the first steps in early intervention. Some families seem to engage and feel comfortable right away, others seem more reluctant and "slow to warm". This discussion helped us think about how we can "match" with families.
