The American Heart Association BLS Provider Course is a physically active class designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of settings. This course trains participants to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide bag mask ventilations, give high-quality CPR and provide early use of an AED for the adult, child, and infant. Upon successful completion of all requirements participants will receive a BLS Provider certification eCard valid for 2 years.

This course is physically demanding. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing and lifting. CPR is hard work in both practice on a manikin during the resuscitation of a cardiac arrest
