Developmental Milestones (Birth to 3)

Description

Training will delve into the developmental milestones of children ages birth to three years. Milestones discussed will be cognitive, language, social/emotional, physical and sensory development. Training will focus on the importance of remaining aware of the typical milestones for Early Intervention professionals to remain alert of red flags to look out for while working with children and their families. Further, training will discuss strategies to discuss milestones in "family-friendly" terminology, as well as addressing delays in a supportive way by guiding families to work on strategies within their home environment.
