Helping Families Through the Medical Diagnostic Process

Description

Having a conversation about a referral for a medical diagnostic assessment is unique for each family. A solid understanding of the process, coupled with insights into one family’s experience can help EI providers develop strategies and tools for having those conversations. This training will provide an overview of what happens during a medical diagnostic assessment, and will feature one family’s story from the early discussions of the referral, through the evaluation process and beyond. Participants will share insights, experiences, and strategies with the group.
