Description |
Participants in this in-house workshop will learn how to collaborate with mental health professionals to optimally serve families and children in early intervention. The infant mental health approach to practice and stance blending child development, knowledge of atypical development and mental health will be discussed. Vignettes for assessing risk and protective factors and steps for referral, evaluation and goal setting will be provided. The types of EI mental health providers and expectation for the mutuality of working relationships among team and family members will be highlighted.
