Yoga Solutions for Behavior Challenges and Coordination Dysfunction

Description

Do you work with children with Autism, ADHD or Coordination Dysfunction and want to improve their behavior, attention, coordination and academic performance? Most people who work with children would love to improve the child’s attention, behavior and confidence but don’t always know how to do it effectively and efficiently. The number of children diagnosed with Autism and ADHD is on the rise and we are becoming more aware of the number of children with coordination difficulties. Research has shown the benefits of helping children become more aware of their body, their breathing and teaching them self-regulation strategies can be highly beneficial to attention, behavior, academic performance, social skills and overall self- confidence.

Upon completion of this practical hands-on workshop, you will immediately be able to implement self-regulation strategies into your daily work with children with sensory issues. Through hands on-labs, case studies, video clips and case examples, you will gain experience with practice techniques for yoga activities, breathing, meditation and body awareness for children. You will learn how to teach parents some of these strategies at home to truly imbed them into the child’s daily routine.
