Pediatric Defensive Documentation

This course will address the importance of appropriate documentation in the therapeutic setting. It will cover common payer complaints about documentation and how to avoid them. The various components of documentation will be discussed and how to improve the quality of each component. Goal writing as well as documenting medical necessity and skilled therapy will be practiced. Special attention is given to pediatric settings, in particular requirements for Early Intervention/First Steps as well as therapy services in the school environment.
