This seminar will explore the implications and issues related to non-custodial fathers parenting their children. The seminar will specifically touch on how the group process provides a support system for fathers and the essential elements necessary for establishing and sustaining a positive group experience for dads. The elements discussed will be use of an evidence based curriculum, tools for helping fathers learn positive parenting skills and build relationships with their children, how fathers can establish and maintain a safe and welcoming environment in which their children thrive, and how to develop a program that provides overall comprehensive support to dads.
