Cranial Without the Crazy! Part II

Description

This second course in a 3 part series covers further manual diagnostics & treatment for the craniosacral system. Based on Dr. William Sutherland, DO and Dr. John Upledger, DO research, these physicians noted that the cranial bones of the skull are moveable and the cerebro spinal fluid presents with a rhythmic flow that travels into the cranial vault, down the spinal column and back to the cranial vault. Integral to the cranio sacral system is the dura matter and the dural tube. The dural tube affects every spinal nerve as the nerves leave the protective confines of the spine. Due to this dural tube release, there is a dramatic effect on functional movement. Cranio-sacral therapy demonstrates improvements in pain and ranges of motion, facilitates proper breathing and sleep, enhances sensory regulation, and reduction of abnormal muscle tone. Children diagnosed with torticollis, cerebral palsy, autism, oral-facial disorders, spina bifida and other neurological and orthopedic conditions would benefit from this exciting therapy techniques. Part I of this series is being offered in April and please watch for Part III in early 2017.
