Videotaped examples support the discussion, which emphasizes differential diagnosis based on diagnostic markers and interpretation of a child’s responses during assessment tasks. The relative effects of motor speech impairment and cognitive/linguistic skills upon a child’s communication disorder are considered. Participants interact with the content through multimedia case studies and self-assessment activities.
