Supporting Families with Young Children who have Sleep, Feeding or Fussiness Difficulties: Introduction to the FAN as an Engagement Approach

Description

Some babies have persistent fussiness, sleep or feeding issues which can dramatically impact the caregiver and family experiences. This workshop will overview the Fussy Baby FAN approach to supporting families. By being able to understand if a family is in a feeling state, a thinking state or a doing state, providers can more easily match with the family’s needs. The end result is families experience more well-matched support and are better able to address their child's needs. Once the parent and provider are on the same page they can been focus on care-giving strategies with their infant and focus on support in meaningful ways.
