Infant Toddler Sensory Processing

Description

It is said that young children learn through their senses. If this is true, then shouldn’t all early intervention methods be sensory based? What about the child who presents with specific sensory challenges? In this presentation we will begin with a quick review of sensory processing and the impact sensory processing differences are played out in the context of a child’s daily routines. The emphasis of this presentation will be on specific sensory strategies that will help infants reach a calm and alert state or toddlers develop self control. No matter your discipline, these sensory strategies will enhance your methods.
