Family-Centered Practices with ALL families: Part 2

Description

This is part two of a three part series to address barriers providers are experiencing implementing family-centered practices with all families in the context of their natural environments. One challenge, which was identified by this group of providers, involved how to engage families who for various reasons are reluctant to participate. With that in mind, the focus will be on how to engage adults by understanding adult learning principles, culturally responsive practices and how to involve families in the coaching interaction from the very beginning of their early intervention experience.
