A Journey Through Reflective Practice in EI; “An Introduction to Reflective Practice”

Description

Child and Family Connections #15 is offering a topic driven, reflective discussion group open to CFC #15 providers. This group will be lead by Mary Valerius, SEC, and Wendy Kolar, TA. In this group we will explore topics which are indicative of reflective practice. Forming relationships is inherent in providing early intervention services, consequently providers will encounter a variety of issues that may influence their assumptions, reactions, beliefs and ability to better understand the needs of a family. This will be an active discussion group where providers will be expected to share, hear, and learn from their own and others experiences. Some examples of discussion topics may be boundaries, cultural assumptions, grief, and family relationships.

This group will be offered monthly on the second Thursday of the month at CFC #15. To learn more about this group contact Mary Valerius.
