Description |
A key part of the service coordinator role is facilitating the eligibility determination and IFSP planning with the evaluation and on-going teams. There can often be differing ideas among team members about what is best for a child. This case consultation discussion focused on experiences that service coordinators have had where they felt "in the middle" of differing opinions and tried to help negotiate the discussion process. It can be also challenging if the parent and providers have different ideas.
This case consultation discussion addressed some of the strategies that SCs use to manage discussions of different ideas and keep the planning process moving ahead with the principles of EI in mind.
