Required training for all bilingual interpreters and translators seeking enrollment in the Illinois Early Intervention System.
This three-day training provides a comprehensive overview of the Illinois Early Intervention System in conjunction with information about the roles an interpreter and a translator fulfill when they becomes enrolled to provide services. Interpreters and translators can expect to learn about specific activities, responsibilities, and ethical guidelines unique to their role within the Illinois Early Intervention System.
Attendees are asked to bring a favorite dictionary, if available, and notepad.
This is a 3-day training. Participants are required to attend all 3 days in order to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Session 1 - Tuesday, January 12
Session 2 - Wednesday, January 13
Session 3 - Thursday, January 14
Should you need to cancel your registration, contact the EI Training Program as soon as possible. Cancellations received on or before January 2 are fully refundable. Cancellations received on or later than January 3 are non refundable. No shows are non refundable.
Registrants arriving more than 30 minutes after the start of the session may not be allowed to participate and will be considered as No Show. Please consider the current travel and road conditions when planning your commute.
