Understanding and properly assessing both language and motor development are two of the fundamental areas of assessment for infants and young children. Both motor skill development and language development lay the foundation for a child's overall development and assessing a child's development to better understand their skills and consider any brain growth (or neurological) challenges is key to measuring progress and .
Dr. Nelson will talk about how to interpret some of what is observed during an assessment experience and integrate those observations into a better understanding of any neurological/brain growth challenges that a child may have.
