Determining if a medical condition makes a child eligible for Early Intervention is not always as simple as finding the diagnosis on a list. Attendees will gain understanding of the EI eligibility process through discussion of common, and not-so-common, medical conditions that result in a high probability of developmental delay. Discussion to include understanding of each diagnosis and its developmental implications. EI principles and the role of EI providers for children with complex medical needs will also be discussed.
