Helping Children and their Families Sleep

Description

Families often express frustration and challenges with their child’s sleeping. We’ll learn strategies, including the “5 S’s” (from Dr. Harvey Karp’s “The Happiest Baby”), for calming and encouraging sleep for infants. We’ll also talk about sleep for older children 1-3 years of age, including naps, sleep rituals, and how to implement bedtime “rules”. We’ll discuss sleep problems and solutions for: nightmares, night terrors, sleep talking/walking, head banging/rocking, teeth grinding and snoring.
