All bi-lingual interpreters and translators enrolling to bill Illinois Early Intervention are required to complete the 3-day Systems Overview for Bilingual Interpreters/Translators in Early Intervention and meet language proficiency requirements prior to applying to Provider Connections to enroll with the Central Billing Office.
Those taking the oral interpretation and/or written translation exams are required to have first completed the 3-day Training.
The oral interpretation and written translation proficiency examinations are facilitated by the EI Training Program at a cost of $85 per exam to those taking the test(s). Cash or check/money order payable to the University of Illinois accepted.
Exams are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment please see below.Those taking written exams are allowed to bring one paper dictionary of choice - no digital/electronic devices allowed.
