Description |
There are many research studies that document the negative impact conditions of poverty make on early child development. Young children who are eligible for early invention services already manifest challenges and when they are growing up in challenging environments there is a dual jeopardy to long-term outcomes. This seminar will briefly summarize some of the literature. Then, Service Coordinators will be encouraged to discuss how they have dealt with the issues created by poverty for the families they have served in the past and currently. This workshop will utilize a case consultation format with a small group of Service Coordinators (5-10).
