Cued Speech: A Beginner Workshop

Description

Participants will learn the Cued Speech system of 8 handshapes and 4 vowel placements and how to combine the handshapes with the placements to convey all of the sounds of spoken language, syllable by syllable. They will learn the basic rules of Cued Speech and should be able to Cue words and simple sentences by the end of the day. They will learn effective practice techniques they can use within Early Intervention.
