PLAY Project Intensive Workshop

Description

This professional development opportunity helps you help children with autism by gaining practical skills in applying and learning the PLAY Project early autism intervention model. This interactive group learning experience is facilitated by Richard Solomon, MD, autism expert and developmental and behavioral pediatrician and the PLAY Project Team. The workshop consists of case studies, video analysis of parent and child interaction, and group activities that develop your skills in play-based, developmental and behavioral techniques for engaging children with autism and other developmental delays. The PLAY Project consists of principles, methods, and techniques and the "7 Circles of PLAY" framework. PLAY Autism Intervention is a manualized, parent-implemented approach. You will also get an overview of Teaching PLAY, the application of PLAY Project in the preschool classroom. Workshop attendance can be a precursor for the Certified PLAY Project Consultant program.
