iTech Camp! Using iTechnology As Evidence-Based Practice To Meet The Learning And Behavioral Needs For Students With Autism Spectrum

Description

This 3-day iTechnology Camp will give participants a
wealth of information and resources for using iTechnology to meet
the learning and behavioral needs of students with ASD, and most
importantly, to increase their independent functioning. Hardware,
accessories, and access tips and tools for making iTechnology
systems user friendly for both students and adults will be shared
and explored. Numerous, practical, evidence-based practices, as
identified by The National Professional Development Center on
Autism Spectrum Disorder, will be discussed, with participants
having the opportunity to design and create strategies and
supports. Participants will explore free web-based resources that
highlight instructional tools, strategies, and behavioral
interventions, and will leave this training with numerous strategies
for incorporating previously identified evidence-based practice
“low tech” visual supports into iTechnology systems, to teach a
broad range of skills for students with ASD. Participants must bring
an iTech system for active participation!
