"Nuts and Bolts of Raising a Child with Autism"

Description

Half a day workshop with a key note presentation from Kimberly Bell Mocini. Kimberly is a mother of a young adult with autism and the author of "My Child Wasn't Born Perfect". Kimberly tells their personal journey of the challenges JD (her son) and his family faced through the educational years.

The workshop will offer six breakout sessions; feeding, social pragmatics, sensory life style, alternative communication strategies, physical therapy considerations and transition to adolescence. Opportunity to register for two roundtable talks on the day of the conference (first come first serve). Registration is limited to 50 attendees.

No handouts will be provided, this is an interactive workshop with discussion and strategies provide in an informal roundtable setting
