Attunement as a means of Facilitating Change: Using the FAN method of intervention with families

Description

This presentation will focus on the use of attunement as a method of change in parent professional relationships using the FAN method of communication. The core processes of Empathic Inquiry, Mindful Self Regulation, Collaborative Exploration, Capacity Building and integration will be covered.

The presenters will cover strategies to use to read parents cues and match them where they are.

The importance of self awareness and mindful self regulation when working with families will also be covered along with strategies to improve self awareness to help participants stay present when interacting with families.
