Effective Strategies for Toilet Training

Description

This two-day workshop will provide an introduction to toilet training. Day 1 of the workshop will consist of a discussion on methods of assessing child and parent readiness to begin toilet training, as well as an introduction to the various methods of toilet training and how to chose the most method for a family. Day 2 will consist of an overview of how to get started, how to help children communicate needs to use the bathroom, and what to do in the first 2-3 days of toilet training. Discussion will follow that includes helpful tips for troubleshooting and how best to address accidents and setbacks. Attendees need to attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate of attendance and an IL EI credit.
