Discipline Redefined

Description

This workshop will discuss traditional forms of discipline and why they can be harmful to children based on current child development research. We will discuss the two components of discipline, the punitive part and the guiding part. Smart Love uses the guiding part, which we call loving regulation. You will learn what that looks like and why it's necessary now and in the future to keep children out of harm's way. We will help you understand and manage behavior while continuing to provide your unconditional understanding of and support for children. Lastly, examples will be given including a question and answer oppotunity. The Smart Love approach is based on the latest child development research.
