Sensory Processing and Regulatory Disorder in 0-3 Population

Description

Course Objectives:
1) Participants will be able to identify 5 developmental areas within the 0-3 population that should be assessed and treated by Occupational Therapists.

2) Participants will understand normal development of regulatory processes, sensory processing and motor planning the first 3 years of life.

3) Participants will be able to recognize signs and symptoms of regulatory and sensory processing disorders in the 0-3 population

4) Participants will be able to identify a variety of assessment strategies to use to evaluate infants and toddlers-up to 3 years old.

5) Participants will be able to explain and discuss intervention strategies and home programing to implement with 0-3 year olds.
