Deepening Practice for Families: Diversity Informed Infant Mental Health Tenets

Description

When thinking about working with diverse communities many practitioners say they don’t know where to start.

How do I work with populations, families and communities different from me?

How do I do this work with growing diversity and heterogeneity in our community and society?

What can I do and my agency do to effectively address the needs of families across the socioeconomic, cultural, religious and other factors of diversity?

In this workshop, participants will:
• Examine their current approach to children and families
• Gain insight into self-awareness and how their backgrounds shape their work with families
• Solve practice dilemmas using the Tenets
