Advanced Level HELP® Training

Description

The Illinois Developmental Therapy Association is offering an advanced level training for anyone in early intervention who is interested in learning more about the HELP® 0-3 as a curriculum based assessment process. If you have been to a one day overview training, if you were trained years ago, if you are using the HELP 0-3 and have questions about crediting and determining developmental age levels, then this workshop is for you! Content will include a brief overview with clarification on most common mistakes, misperceptions and missed opportunities, discussion and tips on administration, crediting and report writing, and video based practice on skills, strands and domains with discussion on scoring and interpretation that is critical to using the HELP® effectively with children and families.

The trainer Amy Cocorikis, Director of CARE Consulting, Inc. has been selected as one of the first nationally recognized Verified HELP® 0-3 Trainers by VORT Corporation, publisher of the HELP®, Hawaii Early Learning Profile. Verified HELP Trainers receive a comprehensive review of their qualifications, materials, and training techniques to insure delivery of accurate information for using HELP 0-3 as a family centered, curriculum based assessment process in a meaningful and compelling way. Participants will receive a certificate that indicates they attended a workshop provided by a Verified HELP Trainer.
