There are eight key terms to remember as a guide when supporting families in Early Intervention:

— and this highly interactive workshop helps professionals explore the key terms they use most in describing how they supporting families in their early intervention practice. During this lively session, participants will share their own “top words”, and then delve deeper as a group into the eight key terms identified by the instructor. Participants will be reminded how to support families through the entire early intervention process using these terms as a focus and guide. Discussion, video examples, parent feedback, and case studies will be utilized to provide participants with tools they might employ immediately in their own practice. Participants will be invited to explore the obstacles they encounter when attempting to provide the best intervention possible, and consider ways to overcome those obstacles.
