Social Skills for Children with Autism, Asperger's & ADHD

Description

By attending this seminar you will discover that helping children be effective in their social world is more complex than learning a set of rote social skills.

You will learn to infuse sensory-based strategies with pragmatic language and executive function activities, to help children increase their social awareness and function effectively in social situations.

Techniques will be provided that will illustrate how important sensory processing is to communication and social intelligence. You will be introduced to the “ins and outs” of the Social Sense Program® which is an effective tool offering tons of new strategies for developing a child’s social abilities. Most importantly, you will learn how to use sensory motor strategies and experimental inquiry as a foundation for teaching specific “hard to teach” social abilities. Be ready to have fun learning about our most important sense - The Social Sense!
